Salesian Oblate Lay Movement

ALOS is a lay movement in the church alongside the Congregation of the Salesian Oblates of the Sacred Heart, whose members, living their secular condition, are committed to being witnesses of the baptismal vocation in every environment with the Salesian Oblate spirit.
The general purpose of the movement is to give glory to God by living "the perfection of Christian life" in the daily offering of oneself, witnessing and spreading the gospel of charity.
The members direct their formation on the example of the Oblate Christ, following the asceticism of Msgr. Sister-in-law.
They participate in the life of the Church with a missionary spirit by giving themselves freely to the brothers.
They love their neighbor, respecting his rights, supporting him in the way of good, building him up with constant Christian conduct.

Learning from the most holy heart of Jesus, they show themselves with all meek and humble for the building of bonds of peace and solidarity.
In a particular way, they rely on the help of the Holy Spirit to maintain his daily purpose of avoiding even the slightest shortcomings felt, in the profound horror of God's offense, the only evil he fears.

In participating in the Eucharistic Sacrifice they draw strength to "be" and "work" in temporal realities and in their participation in earthly activities according to the spirit of the movement.
